Central Sea Terrace
The honest one-liner
Central Sea Terrace is Sea Terrace, but placed where the ship feels easier.
Who it suits
  • People who hate walking back and forth across a ship
  • Anyone who values convenience over novelty
  • Sailors who prefer a steadier feel at sea
What it feels like
You spend less time “getting to things” and more time doing them. On a busy week, that convenience adds up.
The trade-off
You are paying for positioning. Sometimes it’s worth it, sometimes it’s just a premium label.
The value test
If the price difference is modest, it can be a great upgrade. If it’s a big jump, it’s rarely the best use of money.
Small wins
  • Central placement is especially nice if you plan to do lots of shows, dining and late nights
  • If you are sensitive to motion, central can feel calmer
Red Wave recommendation
If you are choosing between Sea Terrace and Central Sea Terrace, we look at the price gap and the deck placement, then give you a straight answer.
The Sea Terrace
cabin 185 sq ft
Virgin Voyages Sea Terrace cabins feature a private balcony with hammock, offering outdoor space alongside the standard cabin layout.
The classic Virgin balcony cabin with the terrace and hammock that most first timers picture when they book. Sleeps 1–2 with your own outside space for coffee, sunsets and a quiet reset between everything else.
Limited View Sea Terrace
cabin 185 sq ft
A Sea Terrace with the same layout and balcony, but with a partially restricted view from the terrace. Often priced lower, so it can be a smart way to get the balcony experience without paying full Sea Terrace rates.
XL Sea Terrace
cabin 225 sq ft
Virgin Voyages XL Sea Terrace cabins offer extra interior space with a private balcony and hammock for a more spacious cabin experience.
A Sea Terrace with more breathing room, ideal if you unpack fully or prefer a less compact cabin feel. Still includes the terrace and hammock, but with extra space that makes day-to-day life onboard easier.
Choose the cabin that fits you
Choosing a cabin is the bit that decides how your week feels. If you tell us your dates, ship and how you like to travel, we will point you to the cabin type that fits and tell you when an upgrade is worth it and when it is not.
