What it feels like
Insider cabins feel calm. They are built for sleeping and resetting. If you are the type who wants a dark room, you will love it. If you wake up craving daylight, it can feel a bit sealed.
The trade-off
No window. No balcony. No quick fresh-air moment without leaving your room.
The value test
Choose Insider if the savings lets you do something meaningful onboard or on shore.
Skip it if you already know you will resent not having daylight. That resentment will follow you all week.
Small wins
- Plan one daily “outside moment” on deck with coffee or a drink
- Insider works best when you are busy and curious not when you are nesting
- If you are sailing somewhere scenic, window cabins feel more valuable

If you are a first timer and unsure, we usually recommend Sea Terrace if the difference is sensible. If the price gap is big, Insider is a very clean choice.

Sleeps 1–2 in a no-window cabin that keeps the price low without losing the Virgin experience. Best for sailors who live on the ship and want a darker room for better sleep.
Solo Insider
CABIN 105 SQ FT
A smart, compact cabin designed for one, so you are not paying for space you will not use. No window, calm and practical if you plan to be out all day and just need a solid base to reset.
Social Insider
CABIN 150 SQ FT
Sleeps 3-4 guests in an insider cabin set up for sharing, ideal for mates travelling together on a budget. Compact and no window, but great value if the cabin is just a base while you spend time out on the ship.
